Super Mike to the rescue

Mike has done it again! My dryer broke last Sat. and I really can't go without one. I had underwear and socks draped all over the house to dry. Not fun. Of course the parts store wasn't open on Sat. So this morning I took 3 loads over to my Mom's to dry it. That is a pretty sweet deal. I go over and my Dad starts the dryer, I get served lunch, we play a card game and then I bring all the dried clothes home. Now if I could get them all to fold it for me. Anyway, Mike came over for lunch and told me that he fixed the dryer and I could go home. I am back home, but I wanted to make sure that Nana and Grandpa got plenty of time with the kids. Not the most exciting summer adventure, but it does have a happy ending!!!!

That Mike is a handy guy. Who knew that he would grow up to be "Super Mike". He was definitely holding out while we were kids, although I do remember him wiring the TV to work so that we could watch while mom and dad were gone (they had cut the plug to prevent our brain cells from dying, but we still managed to kill some anyway).

Does he fix dishwashers too???? (read my most recent blog entry 6/24 to know why!). It must be SO NICE to have a handy man around. Not that my husband doesn't TRY, and he has all the confidence in the world. But his "quick fixes" usually include duck tape and bailing wire.
