Christmas Pictures

Enjoying a bribe.

Three Beauties

Handsome Boys

Daddy bribing the grump.

Pre picture fit. Again I can't figure out why i keep getting weird pics

So it is always an adventure trying to get picture of 6 kids. If you want them (some or all) screaming, crying, pouting, eyeballs going in all different directions then I can do that. This year I wanted a nice picture of all my beautiful children, trying to prove that we are a happy family! Really, we are(most of the time). So after many fits and yelling, I get myself under control. Please, everyone stop crying. Along comes Dad to save the day. "I will give you candy if you take a nice picture!" You would have thought that he had sprinkled them all with pixie dust and turned them into different children. The twins weren't into it at all and after every flash "Now can I have candy?" I eventually gave up and said good enough.

Jenny, Mark and I enjoyed this post so much. The kids are beautiful and they match so well. I think you got a wonderful picture of all six in front of the tree. Precious. You should blow it up and frame it. About the candy bribe, I figured that out YEARS ago. It's the only way. We do straight chocolate. It often turns into a threat. "If you don't sit still better than that you won't get chocolate..." Next year I think Anja will be able to understand that bribe/threat. But then we'll have a baby... hmm. Mark is the hardest one to get to cooperate, so we skipped the adults this year.
Marry Christmas, great job on the photo session!

What wonderful pictures! They really did turn out well. And I don't know any family with children that think taking nice pictures is easy--even families with just two kids and you accomplished it with 6!

Also, are you saying you don't know why the picture is sideways? If so, I know how to fix that and I could help you.

These are great! Your kids are so adorable. And yes, bribes are sometimes the only way to go. This is the "golden week" of behavior for me because the threat of "Do you want to be on Santa's BAD LIST???" really carries a lot of weight the last week before Christmas. Isaac has been saying "Yes Ma'am" and giving me a salute every time I ask him to clean up something. He wants to prove his worthiness to be on the "good list" It is quite amazing. Wish it was Christmas all year round!

Way cute pics, Jenny! and the outfits are adorable! Good job taking and coordinating it... why is it that its always the Dad's that seem to get the result you want, even if you offer them the exact same thing, it seems if Dad offers it, the kids do what he says...*sigh* I guess such is the life of a Mom! Great pics, and I can't believe how much everyone has grown in just 6 months!
